1. Your prompts and inputs
You retain whatever rights you already have in the prompts, photos, and other materials you submit to the Service. By submitting them, you grant ShakeSpiel a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to process them in order to operate and improve the Service.
2. Generated games and printables
Subject to these Terms and your payment for any required credits, you receive an unrestricted licence to use, print, modify, and share the games, art, and printables generated for you by the Service, including for commercial purposes such as small-run printing or paid playtests.
3. Limits on AI-generated content
Copyright law in many jurisdictions does not currently grant authorship to purely AI-generated content. We make no guarantee that any specific generated output is eligible for copyright protection. You are responsible for adding sufficient human creative contribution if that matters to your use case.
4. Similarity and originality
AI models are trained on large bodies of existing work and can occasionally produce outputs that resemble pre-existing games, art, or text. You should review generated content before publishing or distributing it, and not use it in ways that would infringe a third party's rights.
5. Our marks and the Service
The ShakeSpiel name, logo, page designs, copy, and underlying software are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark law. Nothing in these Terms transfers those rights to you. You may reference ShakeSpiel honestly when describing or crediting a game generated on the Service.
6. Publishing on the Game Shelf
When you publish a game to the Shelf, you grant ShakeSpiel a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, promote, and showcase it within the Service and in marketing for the Service. You can unpublish at any time. Other users do not gain rights to your published games beyond viewing, commenting, and rating.
7. Fan art and uploads
If you upload fan art or photos of plays, you confirm you have the rights to do so and that nothing infringing or private (faces of non-consenting people, for example) appears in them. You grant ShakeSpiel a licence to display them alongside the related game.
8. DMCA / takedowns
If you believe content on ShakeSpiel infringes your rights, contact us via the Help page with: a description of the work, the URL of the offending content, your contact details, and a good-faith statement. We will review and act promptly.
